13:13 Now Jeroboam had sent some men to ambush the Judahite army from behind. ¹  The main army was in front of the Judahite army; ²  the ambushers were behind it.

20:22 When they began to shout and praise, the Lord suddenly attacked ³  the Ammonites, Moabites, and men from Mount Seir ⁴  who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

[13:13]  ² tn Heb “Judah.”

[20:22]  ³ tn Heb “set ambushers against.” This is probably idiomatic here for launching a surprise attack.

[20:22]  ⁴ tn Heb “the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir.”
